Ford Escape

Get ready to buckle and go! The coast is clear for the new 2017 Ford Escape and you can find it waiting to take you on your next cross-country getaway here at Oak-land Ford, in the heart of Oakville, Ontario.

The new Escape comfortably seats five and it can get even more comfortable with the available rear-seat entertainment options, air conditioning, and seriously comfortable front seats. You also get a vehicle allowing greater visibility than most other SUVs, helping you to escape unscathed from any otherwise unseen hazards. Plus the 245 horsepower from the available 2.0L EcoBoost engine isn’t so bad, either. There’s a lot to like about the attractive and easy-to-drive 2017 Ford Escape.

When you’re ready for an escape, come test drive one at Oak-land Ford. We stock plenty of new and used Ford SUVs at our dealership, allowing you to find the right colour and combination that’s best for you and your family. And even though we’re in Oakville, we offer some of the best deals and follow-up service in the Greater Toronto Area, so it’s a worthwhile trip for residents of nearby Hamilton, Milton, Burlington, and neighboring Mississauga. We hope to see you soon!

Once again, Ford lets us choose the driving experience we want the most, offering three great engines options for the 2017 Ford Escape. The base engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder i-VCT with 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Upgrade to the SE or Titanium trims and you’ll get access to the peppy EcoBoosts engines that come available with all-wheel drive. The all-new 1.5L 4-cylinder ups the horsepower to 179 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque, but if that doesn’t satisfy you, the top-of-the-line 2.0L version takes you up to 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque.

Feel free to stretch out in the 2017 Escape. Seating five, it feels a bit cosier than the seven-seater Explorer, but it still manages to do the job when you need to pack it up with hockey bags, luggage, or camping equipment. The Escape offers almost 68 cubic feet of cargo space, making it perfect for trips to the grocery store or the furniture store. And like the other Ford crossover SUVs, the new Escape comes packed with more standard features than its reasonable price tag implies: full power accessories, voice-activated SYNC with MyFord Touch technology, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, and more. But of course, the limits of luxury are set by you, with optional power liftgate, heated mirrors and leather seats, 110V power outlet, and sunroof to take a bit of the rush out of those daily Oakville commutes.

The 2017 Ford Escape packs plenty of standard features into their latest edition. Joining the annual core safety package of anti-lock disc brakes, traction and stability control, and both full-length curtain and driver knee airbags are two elements to help you broaden your sightlines, reducing the risk of rear or side collisions: blind spot mirrors and rearview camera. And no matter what trim level you opt for, you can always add-on additional safety features, like the rear parking sensors that come standard in the Titanium trim. New for 2017 is the Ford MyKey system, which lets you set certain parameters for specific drivers (such as your teenaged son or daughter).
